In a large mixing bowl add the cream and licorice favouring. Add your desired amount of black food colouring to get the colour you would like.
Using a stand mixer or Handmixer, whip all together until soft peaks start to form.
Add the sweetened condensed milk and continue to mix until well combined and soft and creamy.
Method for if you have a KitchenAid ice cream mixing bowl
Remove the mixing bowl from your KitchenAid stand mixer and place the frozen ice cream mixing bowl and the required attachments.
Turn on your stand mixer to the low setting and slowly add the ice cream mixture
Allow the mixture to mix on the low setting for around 15 to 20 minutes.
Once mixed, leave the mixture in the bowl. Chop up the licorice into small pieces and using a wooden spoon or spatular stir through.
Serve straight away or store in an airtight freezer-safe container or ice cream container until you are ready.
Method for if you do not have a KitchenAid ice cream mixing bowl
Follow steps 1, 2 and 3
Chop up the licorice into small pieces and using a wooden spoon or spatular stir through.
Place in an airtight freezer-safe container or and ice cream container to store for at least 2 to 3 hours before serving.
