French Toasted Hot Cross Buns
So easy to make and so quick that you can have them on the table in just 15 minutes.
- 6 Hot Cross Buns Store bought or Homemade
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cup Milk
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- ¼ tsp Ground Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Mixed Spice
You can use either store brought Hot Cross Buns for this or use our Hot Cross Bun Recipe
Add eggs and milk into a bowl or shallow dish and whisk well. Add the vanilla extract, cinnamon and mixed spices and whisk to combine.
Place a frypan over medium heat, add a small amount of butter, allowing it to melt while coating the base of the pan.
Cut the hot cross buns in half, dip into the french toast mix and allow excess to drip off. Place onto the frypan and allow to cook till golden brown.
Once golden brown, you can flip them over to toast the other side, but is optional.
