Notes
Note - how to hull a strawberry:To hull a strawberry, simply remove the green leafy top called the calyx. You can do this with a paring knife or a strawberry huller. If you are using a paring knife, insert the knife into the strawberry at a slight angle, just below the calyx. Cut around the calyx in a circular motion, being careful not to cut into the flesh of the strawberry. Once you have cut around the calyx, gently pull it away from the strawberry. If you are using a strawberry huller, simply insert the huller into the strawberry and twist. The huller will remove the calyx and the core of the strawberry.Once you have hulled the strawberry, you can slice it, dice it, or eat it whole. Enjoy!
