Equipment

  • Sandwich Maker or Jaffle Iron

Ingredients

  • 4 slices white bread
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 6 tsp pizza tomato paste 3 tsps are optional
  • 100 g ham pieces approx 80g if adding pineapple
  • 80 g pineapple pieces optional
  • 1/2 cup Pizza cheese

Instructions

  • Butter one side of each slice of bread with butter or margarine.
    Place one slice of bread in the sandwich maker, butter side down.
  • Spread about 1 and 1/2 tsp of pizza tomato paste onto the bread.
  • Add the ham pieces over the top and then pineapple if you like.
    Sprinkle 1/4 cup or a handful of pizza cheese over the ham and pineapple.
  • Optionally, you can add extra pizza tomato paste over the top by either squeezing a small amount over the ingredients or spreading another 1 and 1/2 teaspoons on the slices of bread going on top.
  • Place the other slices of bread on top, butter side up.
  • Close the sandwich maker and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until the bread is golden brown, depending on your sandwich maker/jaffle iron model.
